Abrasive Blasting
Abrasive blasting utilizes high-pressure techniques to propel abrasive materials onto surfaces, removing rust, smoothing edges, and preparing them for finishing. This process uses media with a sand-like texture to strip coatings and debris upon impact. Enclosed blasting cabinets contain the dust and debris, keeping work areas clean and minimizing airborne pollution. For larger projects like vehicles and buildings, portable blasters are used. Blasting guns and nozzles regulate the media's flow and direction, while dust collectors attached to cabinets ensure clear visibility by filtering out dust. Operators use protective hoods to shield against dust when using portable blasters.
