The City of El Paso's Economic and International Development Division has developed the West Texas Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Coalition to position the region as a hub for aerospace and defense manufacturing by 2027. The Contract Opportunities Center Apex Accelerator provides procurement technical assistance to individuals and businesses pursuing government contracts whether through local, state, or federal agencies since 1986 through a cooperative agreement with the Department of War and El Paso Community College.
